Changing the Meal Schedule

by Natalie on January 15, 2013

Hey there!

I’ve gotta make this snappy because I’m about to pick up Colin from the airport.  He’s been in Omaha for work for the past three days and I’m ready to have my guy back :)

This morning was rushed as I hit the snooze button one too many times.  I read in bed a little too late last night, and when the alarm went off I was kicking myself for staying up too late.  Gah!  I scrambled, but made it to our interviews with plenty of time to spare and fuel in my tummy.

Our interview schedule was ridiculous.  We had 8 back-to-back interviews scheduled in 50-minute intervals with 10-minutes between.  Each included a 25-30 minute Q&A followed by a 15-20 minute audition.   There were some phenomenal candidates and a few who were not so stellar, but that’s just how it goes.

We went to Illegal Pete’s which is kind of like Chipotle, but local and and a little healthier.  I got a salad and it was phenomenal (and huge!).  I loved it while I was eating it but regretted taking those last few bites when I was doing burpees and squat jumps in the audition following.  Whoops!

I kid you not, this kept me full until dinner.  It was weird, I ate three bigger meals today instead of three smaller meals and two snacks.  It worked out well considering our schedule, but was definitely not usual for me.

I got home from interviews and bundled up to take Zoey on the walk we missed in the morning.  I desperately wanted to curl my tired body up on the couch and watch Gossip Girl (I’ve been obsessed with watching it on Netflix! ), but had to get my girl out.  We did a 30-minute loop and it was actually a great, brisk walk.

Dinner was leftovers from last night, which keeps getting better, followed by a few squares of dark chocolate :D

With that, I’ve gotta run.

See ya later…

*TIP TIME*
Make your bedroom a “no technology” zone.  Leave your e-reader, cell phone, or laptop in your main living area.  This will ensure you get a quality night sleep and help you adhere to bedtimes.

We have a TV in our room that almost NEVER gets watched (except by Jeff in the morning when he eats breakfast and watches Sports Centre). I agree…Take the technological temptations out!
